
European Tech Funding Tops €1B in a Week as Chip Startup Olix Raises $312M
Tech.eu tracked more than 35 funding deals worth over €1 billion across Europe in a single week, led by UK chip firm Olix's $312M round.

European technology companies raised more than €1 billion across over 35 funding deals in a single week, according to a round-up published by Tech.eu, which also tracked five exits and M&A transactions.
Among the largest rounds, UK chip startup Olix secured $312 million at a $3.3 billion valuation. Another UK company, Volta, raised $300 million at a $2.4 billion valuation, with backing from Nvidia and Dell. In Spain, HappyRobot closed a $150 million Series C to expand its agentic AI aimed at enterprise operations.
Several acquisitions were also reported. Apple acquired Czech startup PlasmaSolve, which works on durable coatings for devices. In France, Rebuy acquired Zeercle as part of a plan to move into the physical book trade. Bending Spoons of Italy completed its first deal since going public with the $1.3 billion acquisition of Airtable, following earlier purchases of AOL and Eventbrite.
