Funding Flows to AI Governance, Security and Orchestration Startups Across US and Europe

In Germany, Munich-based Atira raised $15 million in seed funding to expand its platform for automating industrial sales engineering, Tech.eu reported. Accel led the round, with participation from UVC, Fortino, Booom and industry investors including Ann-Kristin Achleitner, Marc Bitzer, Markus Flik and Celonis co-founder and co-CEO Bastian Nominacher. Atira also disclosed a previously unannounced $2.5 million pre-seed round, bringing total reported funding to $17.5 million. Founded in November 2024 by Florian Diegruber and August DuMont Schütte, the company builds an AI orchestration platform for firms selling complex, built-to-order products. Its system works across existing CRM, ERP and CPQ tools to process incoming customer requests and generate technical documentation, configuration proposals and pricing. Atira estimates industrial sales engineering accounts for more than $128 billion in annual labour spending worldwide.

On the security side, AI security company HiddenLayer raised $100 million in a Series B round, Ventureburn reported. Delta-v Capital led the financing, with participation from Ten Eleven Ventures, Morgan Stanley, M12 and Booz Allen Ventures. The company said its annual recurring revenue grew more than tenfold over the past year and that it added more than 50 new platform customers spanning financial services, healthcare, government, technology and defence. HiddenLayer protects generative, predictive and agentic AI systems across their lifecycle, and its Agentic Runtime Security is designed to provide visibility into AI behaviour in production, identifying manipulation, tool misuse and unauthorised actions. A related product, Agent Harness Security, extends protection to autonomous coding agents. The company said it will use the funds to expand its enterprise platform and strengthen sales and distribution.
