
Glovo Appoints Reni Onafeko to Lead Nigeria Operations

Glovo, the on-demand delivery platform, has named Reni Onafeko as its new country managing director for Nigeria, according to TechCabal. She replaces Lamide Akinola, who stepped down after more than three years in the role.
Onafeko has overseen Glovo's Nigerian operations since the start of 2026 and will now direct the next phase of its growth plans, including expansion in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Ibadan, the company said in a statement. TechCabal reported that Onafeko said her background in strategy, finance and growth has given her a strong understanding of the business and its opportunities in the market.
