Google is expected to hold an in-person event in New York City on September 15, 2026 to introduce its first Googlebook laptops, according to a report from Chrome Unboxed cited by Android Authority.
The gathering is described as a full hardware showcase, offering media a first official look at Google's Android-based laptop platform and the devices set to launch with it. Attendees are expected to get hands-on access to the machines.
The event could also confirm the official name of the underlying operating system, which has so far been referred to as Aluminium OS.
