Greyparrot Raises $27M Series B to Expand AI Waste Sorting in Europe and North America
London-based Greyparrot has closed a $27 million Series B to scale its AI-powered waste analysis systems, bringing total funding to $60 million.

Greyparrot, a London-based company that applies artificial intelligence to waste sorting, has raised $27 million in a Series B round, according to Tech.eu and Ventureburn. The financing takes the startup's total funding to $60 million and was led by technology investor Omar Mir.
The round follows a milestone in which Greyparrot's platform passed one trillion detected waste objects, Tech.eu reported. The company, founded by Mikela Druckman, Ambarish Mitra and Nikola Sivacki, makes camera-based systems called Analyzers that are installed above conveyor belts in recycling facilities. Using computer vision, the units scan materials in real time, identifying plastics, metals, paper and specific brand packaging as they move along sorting lines.
