Grand Theft Auto VI is set to arrive first on consoles, but PC players may not have to wait as long as some feared. According to a GamesBeat report cited by Tom's Hardware and Engadget, the PC version of the game could launch within the first quarter of 2027.
The game is scheduled to go on sale for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on November 19. Rockstar Games has not publicly confirmed a release date for the PC edition. The timing reported by GamesBeat is attributed to industry sources said to be familiar with the studio's plans, who were granted anonymity.
A Q1 2027 window would mark a considerably shorter gap between console and PC releases than with the previous entry in the series. Grand Theft Auto V reached consoles in September 2013, while the PC version did not arrive until April 2015, roughly 18 months later.
