
Heavy-Duty EV Charging Expands on Both Sides of the Atlantic
Voltix has opened France's most powerful truck charging station in Vierzon, while Tesla brings its Semi Megachargers to Georgia truck stops.

Electric truck charging infrastructure is advancing in Europe and the United States, with new high-power sites opening for heavy goods vehicles.
In France, Voltix has launched what electrive.com described as the country's most powerful truck charging station, located in Vierzon. According to the report, the public fast-charging facility for electric HGVs starts with four charging points, each delivering up to 1.5 MW. Voltix plans to expand the site to eight charging points later.
In the United States, Tesla has opened its first Semi Megacharger locations in the Southeast, according to Electrek. The company launched an eight-stall station just south of Atlanta and a six-stall station near Savannah, with each stall rated at up to 1.2 MW. Electrek reported that the two sites create the Tesla Semi's first public charging corridor outside California.
