Hoxton Ventures Co-Leads $4M Seed Round for Enamel-Repair Startup Eterna
London VC Hoxton Ventures is backing King's College London spinout Eterna Regeneratives, which uses keratin from hair or wool to repair tooth enamel.

Hoxton Ventures is co-leading a $4m seed round in Eterna Regeneratives, a UK startup developing a biomaterials platform aimed at repairing tooth enamel and bone, according to Tech.eu.
The London-based early-stage investor, whose portfolio includes Darktrace and GoCardless, is sharing the lead on the round with The Venture Collective, Tech.eu reported, citing well-placed sources.
Eterna is a spinout from King's College London founded in 2024. Its initial focus is enamel and bone repair. The company's approach centres on keratin, a protein that can be sourced from human hair or sheep's wool. According to the startup's research, keratin can produce a thick mineral coating resembling natural enamel when it is applied to a tooth and combined with minerals in saliva.
