A newly disclosed vulnerability could expose thousands of cryptocurrency wallets to attack, according to security research firm Coinspect. The flaw, referred to as "Ill Bloom," stems from weak generation of recovery phrases and reportedly affects wallets spanning multiple blockchains, as reported by Cointelegraph.
For Europe's growing base of digital-asset holders and the exchanges and custody providers that serve cross-border users, including those linking European and African markets, wallet security remains a foundational concern. Any weakness in how wallets are created can have implications far beyond a single platform, since the same underlying code and standards are often reused across the sector.
