Thought Machine, a banking technology company based in the UK, has reached $100m in annual recurring revenue (ARR), according to reporting by Sifted. The achievement marks a significant point for one of Europe's more prominent providers of core banking infrastructure, a sector that has drawn growing attention as traditional lenders and newer digital banks modernise their underlying technology systems.
ARR is a metric commonly used by subscription-based software businesses to measure the recurring portion of their revenue on an annualised basis. Reaching the $100m threshold is often viewed within the technology industry as an indicator of scale and commercial maturity, particularly for firms that supply software to enterprise clients such as banks.
