
London Stock Exchange Teams With Kraken Parent to Put UK Stocks On-Chain
The LSE Group is partnering with Payward, owner of Kraken, to tokenize major UK-listed shares on its xStocks platform, with trading planned for 2027.

The London Stock Exchange (LSE) Group is working with Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, to bring some of the United Kingdom's largest listed companies on-chain. The move adds a new market to the xStocks tokenized equities platform developed by Payward.
According to BitKE, the LSE plans to list xStocks on a new round-the-clock venue called the LSE 24 in 2027, pending regulatory approval. The tokens are intended to represent UK-listed shares and to permit continuous trading while retaining the safeguards and governance standards associated with traditional equities. Cointelegraph, citing the Financial Times, reported that the bourse operator is seeking to offer 24/5 exposure to UK-based tokenized equities.
