Meta Unveils VR Glasses and Camera-Free Ray-Ban Audio at Connect 2026
Meta introduced two new smart glasses at Connect 2026, including a lightweight VR headset and an audio-only Ray-Ban model without a camera.

Meta presented two new pairs of smart glasses during its Meta Connect 2026 event, according to GSMArena. The company showed off its first audio-only Ray-Ban Meta model, which does not include a camera, alongside a virtual reality product named Meta VR Glasses.
The Meta VR Glasses rely on a two-part setup. The glasses themselves contain the display and sensors, while a separate connected puck holds the computing components, storage and battery. The two pieces are linked through an optical cable. GSMArena reported that this split design allows the glasses to weigh only 100 grams. The eyewear features micro OLED displays with 5K resolution.
