Microsoft has rolled out a security update to close a previously undisclosed flaw in its Defender security software, according to reporting by BleepingComputer. The vulnerability, referred to as "RoguePlanet," was made public following the company's June 2026 Patch Tuesday cycle.
What Is Known So Far
Based on the available coverage, the issue is a zero-day vulnerability affecting Microsoft Defender, the built-in protection suite that ships with Windows systems and is widely deployed across consumer and enterprise environments.
