Build a Rocket Boy, the Scottish studio responsible for the third-person shooter MindsEye, has reportedly begun shutting down following another round of job cuts, according to reports from GamesIndustry.biz, TechPowerUp and Engadget.
TechPowerUp reported that the layoffs and an apparent studio closure have been confirmed through recent LinkedIn posts by staff members. Employees who posted about losing their jobs within a single day include level designer Liam Shannon, senior QA analyst Elizabet Tyaneva, release manager Michaela Emslie, production QA analyst Cameron Deaves and lead QA analyst Sandy Greig, among others. A separate post from Dan Hawkins indicated he would remain to help wind down operations in the HR department, which TechPowerUp said appeared to confirm the studio was closing.
