
Molten Ventures Hits First Close of €203M Growth Fund for European Tech
The British VC firm secured €87 million from the British Business Bank as cornerstone investor, targeting a total fund size of €407 million.

Molten Ventures, a British venture capital firm with a 20-year history, has reached the first close of its Growth Fund at €203 million (£175 million), according to EU-Startups. The fund is designed to back UK and European growth-stage technology companies across sectors including space, artificial intelligence, fintech, quantum, deep tech and hardware.
The British Business Bank came in as cornerstone investor with a commitment of €87 million (£75 million). Molten Ventures itself provided the remaining €116 million (£100 million) of the first close. The firm plans to keep courting additional investors, aiming to grow the vehicle to a target size of €407 million (£350 million).
