Monte Carlo Capital (MCC), an early-stage venture firm based in Monaco, has announced a first close of €13 million ($15 million) for its second fund, according to EU-Startups. The firm is aiming for a total of €26 million ($30 million).
MCC invests at the Seed stage in DeepTech and tech-enabled companies. The new vehicle follows Fund I, which closed at more than €11 million in 2025. According to EU-Startups, most of the limited partners from the first fund have recommitted, and Fund II has already backed five companies.
Ian Sosso, founder and Managing Partner of Monte Carlo Capital, said the first close represented a strong vote of confidence from investors and that the capital had already been deployed across five companies, as reported by EU-Startups. He added that the firm's strategy remained unchanged: joining strong cap tables early, co-investing alongside leading venture firms, and continuing to support its best companies as they grow through special purpose vehicles. Sosso said the firm only invests where it sees a credible route to a multi-billion-dollar outcome.
