Ralph Mupita, president and chief executive of MTN Group, has been named a commissioner on the AI for Good Global Commission convened by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), according to ITWeb. The ITU is the United Nations specialised agency responsible for information and communication technologies, and its AI for Good platform serves as a venue for examining how artificial intelligence can be applied to global challenges.
