
Munich's RobCo Reaches Unicorn Status in Share Sale and Funding Deal
The industrial automation startup says its valuation has doubled in nine months, surpassing €892.4 million through a mix of new capital and an employee secondary share sale.

RobCo, a Munich-based robotics company specialising in industrial automation, has reached a valuation above €892.4 million (around $1 billion), reaching unicorn status, according to EU-Startups and Sifted. The company said its valuation has doubled over the past nine months.
The transaction combines fresh investment with a secondary share sale that lets employees sell part of their holdings. RobCo did not reveal the overall size of the deal or how it was divided between new capital and the secondary sale.
Existing backers taking part included Sequoia, Lightspeed, Greenfield, Kindred, Lingotto, and Promus Ventures. They were joined by new investors Cherry Ventures and European Tech Collective, a network of European technology founders.
