German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems has closed a $1.2 billion (roughly €1 billion) Series D round that values the company at around $8 billion (€7 billion), more than doubling its worth from just months earlier. The Bavaria-based firm announced the deal as one of the largest defence technology financings ever recorded in Europe.
The raise underlines how quickly capital is moving into European defence and autonomy startups, a trend with direct implications for cross-border industrial partnerships spanning the continent and allied markets abroad.
