Reykjavík's 50skills raises €5.3M to expand AI-driven HR workflow platform

Founded in 2017, 50skills positions itself as infrastructure that lets people and AI agents run processes together. HR teams use it to design and manage employee experiences across their existing systems. According to the company, the platform brings together deterministic workflows, AI agents and human oversight, along with the governance and security that people operations require. The company notes that HR teams handle hundreds of recurring processes, many of which still rely on email, spreadsheets and manual coordination across disconnected systems.

Ásthildur Otharsdóttir, a partner at Frumtak Ventures and chair of the 50skills board, said the company had turned years of customer feedback into a platform that organisations use to run their people operations daily, according to EU-Startups. She added that firms bringing people, workflows and AI agents together safely would be positioned to succeed as AI reshapes work, and voiced continued support for founder Kristján and the team.

The early-stage firm's fifth fund is anchored by the British Business Bank and will target technical founding teams across Europe.
