
Samsung Confirms Wider Android Support for SmartTag 3 Trackers
Samsung says its new SmartTag 3 will work beyond Galaxy phones, extending tracking to other Android devices and iOS.

Samsung has confirmed that its latest Bluetooth tracker, the SmartTag 3, will support a broader range of devices than previous models, according to Android Authority.
Earlier SmartTag trackers were limited to monitoring through Samsung Galaxy phones. As Android Authority noted, the SmartTag2 worked only with devices such as the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S25, Galaxy S26, Galaxy Z Fold, Galaxy Z Flip, and Galaxy A series phones running the latest version of the SmartThings app. Owners of other handsets could not officially use the trackers to monitor their belongings.
The SmartTag 3 changes that. Samsung has formally extended support to iOS devices, and the company has now clarified that other Android models will also gain access.
