
Samsung Sets August 27 Date for New Galaxy S26 Family Device
Samsung has scheduled a Galaxy Event for August 27 to reveal what it calls the newest member of the Galaxy S26 line, widely expected to be the Galaxy S26 FE.

Samsung has announced a Galaxy Event for August 27 at which it plans to unveil what it describes as the newest addition to the Galaxy S26 family. According to GSMArena, the event, billed as the "Galaxy Event August 2026", will be livestreamed on Samsung.com and the company's YouTube channel, beginning at 12pm UTC.
Samsung has not officially named the device. Both Android Authority and GSMArena report that the product is expected to be the Galaxy S26 FE, based on prior leaks. Samsung has not released official specifications for the phone.
Android Authority notes that earlier leaks pointed to an Exynos 2500 chip, a 4,900mAh battery, and a triple rear camera arrangement. GSMArena reported a leaked EPREL label indicating an A rating for energy efficiency, an A rating for drop resistance, and a C rating for repairability.
