
SAP to Acquire Belgian AI Startup TechWolf in Record VC-Backed Deal
German software company SAP is buying Ghent-based TechWolf, an AI firm focused on workforce skills, in what the startup calls the largest acquisition of a venture-backed software company in Belgian history.

SAP, the German enterprise software company, said it will acquire TechWolf, a Belgian startup that uses artificial intelligence to help companies map the skills and work of their employees. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Founded in 2018 and based in Ghent, TechWolf employs more than 120 people and has offices in London and New York, with a San Francisco location set to open. The company has raised over $50 million to date, drawing backing from investors including Felix Capital, Notion Capital and Harry Stebbings' 20VC. SAP, ServiceNow and Workday have also invested, alongside AI figures from DeepMind and Meta.
