
Sega Uses AI for Efficiency but Keeps It Out of Creative Work
A senior Sega executive says the company applies AI to tasks like publishing and idea generation, but will not use it for the creative aspects of game development.

Sega is using artificial intelligence to boost efficiency in parts of its operations, but it will not apply the technology to the creative side of game development, according to comments from a senior executive.
Speaking to Nikkei about how game production could change as AI becomes more widespread, Tsuyoshi Saito, Sega's senior executive officer and deputy chief business officer, said the company already relies on AI in areas such as business idea generation and publishing processes, as reported by TechPowerUp. He added that the company is not applying it to creative tasks in game development.
