Tesla has enabled its Cybertruck Powershare feature to supply backup power to a home at the same time as a Powerwall 3 battery, the company announced on Thursday, according to Electrek.
When the truck and the battery run together, they add more than three days of backup power. Tesla says that capacity is equivalent to nine additional Powerwalls, Electrek reported.
The capability had been one of the most delayed items on the Cybertruck's feature list. Tesla first promised it for 2025, and it is arriving close to two years after Cybertruck deliveries began, according to Electrek. InsideEVs described it as the pickup's most delayed feature and reported that it is now officially available.
The update addresses a gap in Powershare, which previously could not back up a home simultaneously with a Powerwall 3.
