Tesla has teamed up with the car-sharing platform Turo to let renters in the United States try its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) feature, according to reporting from Electrek and InsideEVs.
Turo hosts will be able to connect their Tesla account to confirm which of their vehicles have FSD enabled. Renters will then be able to search specifically for Teslas that have the feature turned on, with a direct integration verifying each car's FSD status. Electrek reported that the feature goes live on October 28.
For Tesla, the arrangement offers a way to put FSD in front of people who do not own one of its vehicles. Electrek noted that it also serves as a new source of FSD subscriptions, which count toward Elon Musk's pay package.
