The move adds to what the outlet described as Tether's growing collection of infrastructure investments in the blockchain sector.
What the Deal Involves
According to Cointelegraph, Mercado Bitcoin intends to use the funding to broaden its tokenized finance operations throughout the Latin American region. Tokenization refers to representing financial assets—such as debt instruments, funds, or other securities—on blockchain rails, a practice that has drawn increasing attention from established financial firms and crypto-native companies alike.
