TidalSense Raises €16.6M to Expand AI Respiratory Diagnostics Globally

Founded in 2013 and formerly known as Cambridge Respiratory Innovations, TidalSense builds AI-driven diagnostic and monitoring tools for respiratory medicine based on its patented sensor technology, N-Tidal.

EU-Startups reported comments from CEO Dr. Ameera Patel, who said respiratory disease has long been neglected by governments and health systems, often overshadowed by cancer and cardiovascular disease, even though it affects one in five people. She noted that the World Health Organisation now recognises COPD as a global health priority, and pointed out that while COPD is widely regarded as a smoker's disease, a quarter of cases stem from air pollution and biomass fuel used in cooking.

London-based Arrakis has secured roughly $38 million, including a $30 million Series A led by Blossom Capital, to grow its platform for embedding AI agents into industrial workflows.
