Ubisoft is preparing another round of job cuts, according to reports from multiple outlets, with the reductions potentially affecting up to 122 workers.
Engadget reported that the cuts are set to hit RedLynx and Ubisoft Singapore, and that the company plans to close another studio as part of the move.
TechPowerUp, citing a report from The Game File that quotes a representative at Ubisoft Germany, said the company is planning further reductions at its German studios. The report indicates the cuts could total close to 100 jobs. According to the account, Ubisoft previously raised the matter with the Works Council, a labor group representing employees, and proposed a voluntary departure plan.
The German studios affected include Mainz, Berlin, and Dusseldorf, with Dusseldorf reportedly facing the largest share of the cuts. The Mainz studio has previously worked on titles including Anno 1800, Anno 117: Pax Romana, Rainbow Six Siege, and Beyond Good and Evil 2.
