The United Kingdom retained its position as Europe's largest market for technology funding during the first half of 2026, according to a report published by Tech.eu. UK companies collectively raised €18.7 billion across 423 deals over the period.
Investment was heavily weighted toward a handful of sectors. Cloud drew the most capital at €5.9 billion, followed by artificial intelligence at €3.2 billion, healthtech at €2.6 billion and fintech at €1.8 billion. Together these areas made up the bulk of the total.
Within cloud, Tech.eu attributed the concentration of funding to sizeable financings for Pure Data Centres and Nscale, linked to ongoing investment in AI infrastructure and data centre capacity. In artificial intelligence, large rounds went to Ineffable Intelligence, Recursive Superintelligence, ElevenLabs and Fractile, covering foundation models, enterprise applications and semiconductor technology. Healthcare funding was led by a Series B round for Isomorphic Labs, with additional backing for companies including Oviva. Fintech capital was distributed across both early- and growth-stage businesses.
