Valve has reached the 30-year mark since its founding, according to TechPowerUp. The company was established on August 24, 1996, by Gabe Newell and Mike Harrington.
Valve made its debut in 1998 with Half-Life. It went on to develop a range of titles that built worldwide followings, including Dota, Counter-Strike, Artifact, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead, and Portal.
In 2003, the company moved into game distribution with the launch of Steam. TechPowerUp describes Steam as the leading PC gaming client software and a primary destination for game purchases, deals, and launches.
