Zurich's Aeon Acquires Aware Health, Pushing Total Seed Funding Past €12M

Aeon founder and CEO Tim Seithe said the acquisition of Aware Health advances the company's plans by two years and that the round provides what it needs to execute, as reported by EU-Startups. He framed the strategy around combining imaging, blood diagnostics and AI to move from reactive to predictive care.

EU-Startups reported that the deal comes amid continued investment in European preventive healthcare, AI-enabled diagnostics and longitudinal health monitoring in 2026. The outlet counted approximately €667 million across relevant and adjacent rounds this year, though €612.7 million of that came from Neko Health's Series C; excluding that round, the total falls to roughly €55 million. Among comparable companies is fellow Zurich-based Ahead Health, which raised €5.1 million in January and a further €8.7 million.
