AMD Posts Record Q2 2026 Revenue as Data Center Doubles, Gaming Falls 31%

AMD reported record revenue for the second quarter of 2026, reaching $11.5 billion — a 50% increase from the same period a year earlier and up 13% from the previous quarter, according to figures released by the company and reported by Tom's Hardware and TechPowerUp.

The company posted a gross margin of 54%, operating income of $2.0 billion, net income of $2.3 billion and diluted earnings per share of $1.38. On a non-GAAP basis, gross margin was 56%, operating income was $3.1 billion, net income was $2.8 billion and diluted earnings per share was $1.66.

Growth was led by AMD's data center business, which more than doubled year-over-year. Chair and CEO Lisa Su attributed the momentum to accelerating EPYC demand, scaling Instinct deployments and the beginning of the Helios ramp, adding that artificial intelligence is expanding demand for compute across the company's markets.
