
Brighteye Ventures Reaches €62.4M First Close for Fund III
The Luxembourg-based investor has closed an initial €62.4 million for its third fund, broadening its focus toward what it calls HumanOS.

Brighteye Ventures, a Luxembourg-based venture capital firm investing in European companies focused on learning and work, has announced a first close of €62.4 million ($72 million) for its third fund. According to Tech.eu, the close brings the firm's total assets under management to $245 million.
The first close of Fund III adds new limited partners, including the Lumina Foundation, Italian publishing group Zanichelli and PI Impact. They join existing backers such as the European Investment Fund (EIF), the Jacobs Foundation and several European family offices.
Brighteye was founded in 2017 by Ben Wirz and Alex Spiro Latsis, initially concentrating on early-stage EdTech across Europe and North America. Since its founding, the firm has invested in more than 50 companies, which have collectively raised over €866 million ($1 billion) in follow-on capital. It typically writes initial cheques of €400,000 to €4 million, from pre-Seed to Series A, and operates from offices in London and Paris.
