Financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald and tokenization platform Securitize are working together on a system that would allow public companies to raise capital directly on blockchain networks, according to reporting from CoinDesk and Cointelegraph.
The collaboration aims to create a route for issuing tokenized securities tied to initial public offerings, potentially reshaping how equity is sold and traded across global markets.
What the Two Firms Are Building
According to CoinDesk, the arrangement establishes a way for publicly listed companies to conduct capital raises onchain while issuing securities in tokenized form. Cointelegraph reported that Securitize and Cantor Fitzgerald are developing infrastructure covering both tokenized IPOs and secondary equity offerings.
