Nasdaq-listed Solana Company (HSDT) has been named a strategic enterprise by Hong Kong's Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES), according to reporting from BitKE and Cointelegraph.
The designation falls under a government programme that seeks to draw in businesses supporting economic growth as Hong Kong works to build out its digital asset and blockchain infrastructure sector. BitKE reported that Solana Company was the only blockchain infrastructure firm selected in the 2026 round.
The company said it intends to establish Solana validator operations in Hong Kong through its Pacific Backbone initiative, which is aimed at building a low-latency blockchain network across the Asia-Pacific region. According to BitKE, the strategic enterprise status brings support for dealing with government agencies and regulators, recruiting from overseas, and forming partnerships with local institutions.
