Nscale Filings Reveal ByteDance Unit Accessed Nvidia B200 Chips via Norway Data Center

UK-based cloud computing firm Nscale signed a contract with Spring (SG) Pte Ltd, a Singapore-registered subsidiary of Chinese technology company ByteDance, giving the customer access to 2,304 Nvidia B200 chips at Nscale's data center in Glomfjord, Norway, according to filings reported by Tom's Hardware and Sifted.

The arrangement made Spring a central part of Nscale's business. Tom's Hardware reported that the customer accounted for $24 million of the company's $33 million in annual revenue in 2025.

The details emerged after Nscale filed S-1 documents for an initial public offering in the United States. According to Tom's Hardware, the S-1 filing did not directly name ByteDance or its subsidiary. Instead, Spring (SG) Pte Ltd was identified as a significant customer in a supporting document tied to a $105 million loan agreement with Macquarie. That credit, together with $35 million in equity, helped fund the chip purchase.
