Investment firm Paradigm has closed a new fund worth $1.2 billion, signalling a broader strategy that reaches beyond its established base in digital assets. According to Decrypt and CoinDesk, the firm's fourth fund is set to support startups working in artificial intelligence, robotics, and crypto.
A Broader Mandate
Paradigm has been known primarily for its work in the cryptocurrency sector. The new fund marks a shift toward a wider technology remit, adding AI and robotics companies to the list of areas it intends to finance. CoinDesk reported that, despite the expanded scope, the firm's leadership has indicated it remains committed to crypto investing. The move places Paradigm among a growing number of venture investors that have historically concentrated on digital assets and are now allocating capital toward artificial intelligence.
