
UK Chip Startup Olix Raises $312M at $3.3bn Valuation to Challenge Nvidia
Olix, founded by 25-year-old James Dacombe, tripled its valuation in a Series B round led by New York's Fundomo, with backing from Arm and Hudson River Trading.

British chip startup Olix has raised $312m in a Series B funding round that values the company at $3.3bn, according to reports from Sifted and Tech.eu. The figure represents more than a tripling of the just-over-$1bn valuation the company held when it raised $220m in February 2026.
Founded two years ago by 25-year-old entrepreneur James Dacombe, Olix said it plans to bring its first products to customers next year. The company is developing an optical digital processor built on what it describes as a novel memory and interconnect architecture, designed to be compatible with current AI models and to support AI inference workloads.
