South African broadcaster eMedia has entered into a content licensing partnership with global streaming service Netflix, according to a report by ITWeb. The agreement is set to make selected original productions from e.tv available to Netflix subscribers across the African continent.
What the Partnership Involves
Under the collaboration, a chosen slate of e.tv original programming will be distributed to Netflix audiences in Africa. e.tv is a free-to-air television channel operated by eMedia, and the arrangement positions its locally produced content on one of the world's largest subscription streaming platforms.
