Two developments this week underline the persistent pressure on organizations to keep enterprise systems patched, a concern that carries equal weight for technology operators across Africa and Europe that rely on the same widely deployed products.
SonicWall Warns of Active Exploitation
SonicWall has issued a warning that attackers have been actively exploiting two vulnerabilities in its SMA1000 secure access products, according to BleepingComputer. The flaws are tracked as CVE-2026-15409 and CVE-2026-15410. The company said the issues have been leveraged in zero-day attacks, meaning they were used against customers before fixes were publicly available.
SonicWall has released security updates addressing the vulnerabilities and is urging customers to apply them promptly. Because SMA1000 appliances are typically used to provide remote and secure access to internal networks, they are a frequent target for threat actors seeking a foothold in corporate environments. Organizations running the affected products are advised to review the vendor's guidance and install the updates without delay.
