Australia's financial crime regulator has suspended the registration of crypto ATM operator Cryptolink for three months, requiring the company to take its 96 machines offline. The Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) said Cryptolink did not submit the threshold transaction reports it was required to file and did not reply to the regulator's requests for information.
The suspension follows an enforceable undertaking that Cryptolink agreed to with AUSTRAC in October 2025, after the regulator flagged late reporting of large cash transactions and shortcomings in the company's anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing risk assessments. Cryptolink also paid an infringement notice of A$56,340, equivalent to about $36,700, according to BitKE. Cointelegraph reported the same fine figure of $56,340.
