
Bethesda Union Members Plan Strike Over Xbox Layoffs
Unionized workers at Bethesda and ZeniMax studios are organising protests after Microsoft confirmed cuts affecting hundreds of positions.

Unionized employees at Bethesda Game Studios have announced plans to strike in response to a wave of layoffs across Microsoft's Xbox and ZeniMax operations. According to TechPowerUp and GamesIndustry.biz, the industrial action is set to begin on July 15, with organised marches planned outside several studio locations.
What Prompted the Action
The protests follow confirmation of substantial job reductions at ZeniMax-owned studios, tied to a broader restructuring at Xbox associated with Asha Sharma. According to TechPowerUp, the cuts amount to roughly half of Id Software's staff and around a quarter of Bethesda's workforce.
