
Defence-Tech Funding Grows With Terra's $52M Seed and Gallos's $50M Round
Nigeria's Terra Industries closed a $52 million seed round while UK-based Gallos Technologies raised $50 million, as investment in defence and security startups expands.

Two defence-technology companies on opposite sides of the Africa-Europe divide announced significant funding rounds, according to reports published on 17 August 2026.
Terra Industries, a Nigerian startup that develops autonomous security systems built on its own software, raised an additional $18 million to close what TechCabal described as Africa's largest seed round, bringing the total to $52 million. New backers Norleo Space Investments and angel investor Grant Gordon joined existing investors including 8VC, Silent Ventures, Nova Global, Belief Capital, and SV Angel. The company said it would use the funds to open its first international office in London, expand manufacturing, accelerate product deployment across the Global South, and grow its engineering, operations, and business development teams.
