A large file claiming to be a leaked, playable build of Grand Theft Auto VI has been identified as malware, according to reports from TechPowerUp and Tom's Hardware.
The 113GB ISO circulated online with a name suggesting it matched the build allegedly held by a leaker known as Cyberleek, who had been posting GTA VI material during the prior week. A GTA enthusiast flagged the file on social media, and X user @GTAGolden_ said it was being shared without specifying where, though it was alleged to be spreading on torrent sites.
Another X user, @Aidas29506493, said they reverse engineered the file and concluded it was fake and contained viruses. According to the analysis reported by both outlets, the ISO consists almost entirely of empty data (described as endless zeroes) surrounding a virus of roughly 50KB. Tom's Hardware quoted a reply stating the file is "not 100 GB of actual code, it's just a tiny 50 KB virus padded with 99.99% empty junk (literally endless zeroes)."
