QOSMIC, a startup based in Bengaluru, India, has closed a $3.33 million seed funding round to develop optical ground stations aimed at supporting what the company describes as the orbital data economy. The round was co-led by Accel and Prosus, according to SpaceNews.
The involvement of Prosus — the international technology investment arm with deep roots in Europe — connects the deal to European capital flows, even as the company itself is headquartered in India. Accel likewise operates across multiple markets, including Europe.
The Funding Round
Alongside the two lead investors, the round drew participation from South Park Commons and ARTPARK, as well as at least one angel investor.
