The FIFA World Cup 2026 final is set for Sunday, July 19, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where three-time champions Argentina will face Spain, according to Sports Video Group.
The match closes a 39-day tournament staged across 16 venues. Over that period, organizers built stadium atmospheres around pre-match ceremonies, live performances at each host nation's opening match, and a reworked player introduction featuring large flags and pyrotechnics, Sports Video Group reported. Productions also drew on fan traditions from participating countries and incorporated elements specific to each host city.
The final will include the first halftime performance in a World Cup Final, with Justin Bieber, BTS, Madonna, and Shakira scheduled to appear, per Sports Video Group. FIFA's Head of Event Production and Stadium Entertainment, Lance Brass, described the creative and logistical work behind powering the 16 venues across three host countries and the role music played inside the stadiums.
