
Nvidia in Early Talks with South Korean AI Chip Startup Rebellions
Nvidia is reportedly exploring options ranging from a technical partnership to a possible acquisition of Bundang-based chip designer Rebellions.

Nvidia is reportedly in the early stages of discussions with Rebellions, a South Korean designer of artificial intelligence chips, according to Ventureburn, citing people familiar with the matter. The reported talks span several possible outcomes, including a strategic technical partnership, an investment, or a full acquisition.
Ventureburn reported that Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang recently met with Rebellions co-founder and CEO Sunghyun Park at Nvidia's headquarters in Santa Clara, California.
Rebellions was founded in 2020 and is based in Bundang. The company has raised roughly $850 million from backers including SK Hynix, Samsung Ventures, and Arm Holdings, along with support from the South Korean government, and carries a valuation of about $2.3 billion, according to Ventureburn.
